Hello and welcome!

My name is Gabbie Rivera, and I’m thrilled to be the Art teacher at Parkway Elementary!

I began my journey with Lewisville ISD in 2016, and I bring with me a rich background shaped by my roots in Puerto Rico and my time living in Australia. I hold a degree in Anthropology from the University of Puerto Rico, and my passion for the arts was sparked during my middle and high school years at a specialized Visual Arts School.

Art has always been a powerful outlet for me, and I aim to create a classroom where students feel safe, inspired, and confident to explore their creativity. I believe every child should have the freedom to express themselves uniquely and without fear.

Teaching brings me immense joy, especially the opportunity to build lasting, meaningful relationships with my students. I can’t wait to see the amazing things we’ll create together!
