Trade Credit Requirements 2025 - 2026
All LISD staff must earn trade credit over the course of the year from May 24 - March 31. The trade credit hours are in exchange for paid professional learning days that staff have off based on contract dates (August 1, November 24 and 25).
- All teachers/instructional professional staff must acquire 6 trade credits for the LISD Essentials Course prior to or on August 1 for the Trade Day on August 1. This is different from the annual required LISD Compliance Course. ALL staff will need to complete both learning courses.
- All teachers/Instructional professional staff must complete a total of 18 hours for the 2025-26 SY (6 hours prior to or on August 1 (LISD Essentials Course Required Learning) + 12 additional hours prior to March 31, 2026 =18 hours total of 2025-26 Trade Credit)
- All LISD staff must complete 12 hours of learning outside of contract hours for the two paid professional learning days on the calendar for the first two days of Thanksgiving break.
Summer Learning Sessions Details for Instructional Professional Staff
- All instructional professional staff must acquire a total of 6 August Trade credits prior to or on August 1. The 6 trade credits of summer learning will be August learning sessions based on teaching assignments. Click below for more information about your specific grade level/content learning.
