    The Polser family is associated with the Lewisville Feed Mill in Lewisville, Texas, which was founded in 1886 by J.W. Degan, a relative of the Polsers. The feed mill was a hub for the community, where people would gather to share stories and get advice. 

     

    Early history

    • The feed mill was originally called the Lewisville Livery Stable and Feed Mill. 
    • It was located at 119 E. Main Street. 
    • The mill sold grains like oats, corn, and wheat for livestock. 
    • The mill also ground the grain and blended it with molasses. 

     

    Polser family involvement 

    • James Polser purchased the mill from his uncle, James Degan, in 1978.
    • James and his wife, Virginia, were married in 1962.
    • James attended Lewisville schools and graduated in 1959.
    • He went on to North Texas State University, where he earned a marketing degree.
