Call Your Representatives

  • Before making a call to your elected official, know the topic of choice that you would like to comment on. You will want to share your personal experience about the topic to show why it is important to you. Be mindful to keep your call short and concise.

The person you talk to will not be your elected official; instead, it will be someone who works for them. The person will ask for your name and address and might ask if you are a constituent. This means that you live in the area that your elected official represents.

    Content of the Call:

    1. Introduce yourself

    2. Share the topic of interest and the impact

    3. Express expected action from the elected official

    4. Thank the person for their time

I am calling to urge (elected official’s name) to support (explain your topic here). I care about this because (reason).
