Camey Elementary-School Parent Compact 2024-2025
Camey Elementary School, in partnership with our parents, agree that this compact outlines how the parents, staff, and students will share the responsibility for improved student academic achievement. This school-parent compact is in effect during the 2022-2023 school year.
Parent Responsibilities:
We, as parents, will support our children’s learning in the following ways:
● Make sure that my child is at school and on time every day possible.
● Make sure that homework is monitored and completed.
● Volunteer and/or observe in my child’s classroom, if possible.
● Participate, as appropriate, in decisions relating to my child’s education.
● Promote positive use of my child’s extracurricular time.
● Stay informed about my child’s education and communicate with the school by reading all notices from the school and responding as appropriate.
● Reinforce positive behavior expectations with my child
Student Responsibilities
We, as students, will share the responsibility to learn at school and at home by:
● Doing my homework when it is assigned and asking for help when I need to.
● Read at least 15 to 30 minutes every day outside of school time.
● Give all notices and information received from my school to my caregiver every day.
● Try my best to meet Camey PRIDE expectations every day
● Treat others with respect and kindness
School Responsibilities
Camey Elementary School will:
Provide high‐quality curriculum and instruction in a supportive and effective learning environment that enables students to meet the State’s student academic achievement standards as
follows:
● Hold parent‐teacher conferences (at least annually) in elementary schools during which this compact will be discussed as it relates to the individual child’s achievement.
● Provide parents with frequent reports on their children’s progress.
● Provide parents reasonable access to staff.
● Provide parents opportunities to volunteer and participate in their child’s class, and to observe classroom ● activities.
● Teach and reinforce positive behavior expectations
