SCHOOL-PARENT COMPACT 

Vickery Elementary is committed to developing a partnership between the school, parents and students that will help children achieve the state’s high standards.

This school-parent compact is in effect during the school year 2024-2025.

Parent Responsibilities
We, as parents, will support our children’s learning in the following ways:

• ●  Make sure that my child is at school and on time every day possible.

• ●  Make sure that homework is monitored and completed.

• ●  Monitor the amount of technology my child watches.

• ●  Participate, as appropriate, in decisions related to my child’s education.

• ●  Promote positive use of my child’s extracurricular time.

• ●  Stay informed about my child’s education and communicate with the school by promptly reading all notices from the school and responding, as appropriate.

  Student Responsibilities
  We, as students, will share the responsibility to learn at school and at home by:

• ●  Doing my classwork and homework every day and asking for help when I need to.

• ●  Read at least 15 to 30 minutes every day outside of school time.

• ●  Give to my parents or the adult who is responsible for my welfare all notices and information received

  by me from my school every day.

• ●  Pay attention and follow directions both at home and at school.

  School Responsibilities
  Vickery Elementary School will:

• ●  Provide high-quality curriculum and instruction in a supportive and effective learning environment that enables the participating children to meet the State’s student academic achievement standards.

• ●  Hold parent-teacher conferences (at least annually) in elementary schools during which this compact will be discussed as it relates to the individual child’s achievement.

• ●  Provide parents with frequent reports on their children’s progress.

• ●  Provide parents reasonable access to staff.

• ●  Provide parents opportunities to volunteer and participate in their child’s class, and to observe classroom

  activities.

• ●  Provide a weekly newsletter to parents with upcoming topics and events.

Vickery Elemental es cometido a desarrollar una asociación entre la escuela, los padres y los estudiantes que ayudará a los niños a lograr los estándares altos del Estado.

Este compacto de escuela y padres esta en efecto durante el año escolar 2024-2025.

Responsabilidades Paternales
Nosotros, como padres, apoyaremos el aprendizaje de nuestros niños de los modos siguientes:

• ●  Estar seguro que mi niño está en la escuela y a tiempo cada día posible.

• ●  Estar seguro que la tarea es supervisada y completada.

• ●  Supervisar la cantidad de televisión que mi niño(a) mira.

• ●  Participar, como apropiado, en las decisiones acerca de la educación de mi niño(a).

• ●  Promover el uso positivo del tiempo extraescolar de mi niño(a).

• ●  Quedarse informado sobre la educación de mi niño y comunica con la escuela, puntualmente leyendo todos los avisos de la escuela y responder, como apropiado.

  Responsabilidades de Estudiante
  Nosotros, como estudiantes, compartiremos la responsabilidad de aprender en la escuela y en casa con:

• ●  Hacer mi trabajo de clase y tarea cada día y pedir ayuda cuando lo necesito.

• ●  Leer al menos 15 a 30 minutos cada día fuera del tiempo escolar.

• ●  Dar a mis padres o al adulto que es responsable de mi bienestar, todos los avisos y la información

  recibida por mí de parte de mi escuela cada día.

• ●  Prestar atención y seguir direcciones tanto en casa como en la escuela.
